I've Never Loved You Anyway - The Corrs
I remember my mother telling me when I was growing up how wonderful Nadia was as a gymnast and seeing this video of the Olympics was 5 years before I was born
What did cbs think
For me, this theme song will always be Nadia's theme, not that stupid Young & The Restless theme. Kudos for your accomplishments, Nadia. This will always be your song.
OTH ❤
Daisy can't talk!
I remember my sister bought this record and use to play it every day and pretend she knew ballet I use to tease her jumping around the room while the song played to bother her good times good times 😂
No one simóne whatever is even near what is nadia.... simply the best
Who was that other gymnast at the end of the video? What a difficult dismount! So fluid.
Nastia Luikin
@@Grizzlied555 Thanks. I like gymnasts with very graceful and fluid moves.
@@whatevergoesforme5129 👍
Western nations couln´t compete with the east bloc so they set up to destroy them...the east athlets were way better than them...just check history.
I remember everyone thought it was a forgone conclusion the Russians would dominate the Olympics then out of seemingly nowhere came this little Romanian girl running and jumping and flipping! She set the standard in class, character, showmanship, and athleticism that has never been surpassed!
Now that is sublime beauty. But Nadia's Theme is too sad.
STILL takes MY breath away.. a beautiful LIGHT in this Dark world !!!
She is d greatest gymnastics in history 😂❤
Pure Perfection!! ❤
The best
I was 20 yrs old in 76 and had no interest in watching the Olympics, however I was sitting with my parents and they were watching and I was glued to the TV, she was incredible and I have to watch since that time.
Uma lenda.
When i was a small kid and knew nothing but the first time i heard my mom wacthing that soap oprera and heard that music it took me into another world and instantly reminds me of my mom when i was so young restless RIP MOM YOUR A QUEEN IN HEAVEN NOW
Unica per sempre
Her routines were INSANE !! Didn't matter what country she was from, she was a pure joy to watch.
10 synonymous w Nadia ....always a CHAMPION !!! 👍💕....glad I was alive to witness the extraordinary
In 1976 I was 9. And she was one of the athletes I looked up to and wanted to be like. I truly feel sad for today's young ladies because today's women who should be looked up to are very few and far between. I have a 4-year-old granddaughter and I hope and pray that there will be someone in her lifetime that she can look up to. The year is now 2023 and God willing one will come soon.
When I was a child,I always knew the great views of communist countries, including this story of Nadia from Romania.
I like this: Nadia's awesome performance and Nadia's theme
She was my idol growing up. I wanted to be just like her. I even begged my parents to move to Texas I think bc that's where Bela and Marta had opened a gym when I was a kid. Sadly though we didn't move there we moved to Florida and I just want able to find a good gym close to where we moved and wasn't able to keep training the way I had before. I miss it everyday and wonder often how my life might have been had I not had to leave the gym I had trained in or was able to find one when we moved. I still watch her old performances in such awe. Gymnastics has evolved so much since then but I think it's also lost a lot of what made it so beautiful. For example there's less dance involved in floor exercises and I think the uneven bars had so much more that could be done and there was more movement between the high bar and low bar before they started being set so far apart
I 1st saw her in Montreal in '76. I was 12 n she was fourteen. Who knows what might have been!
I remember watching Nadia in 1976 so graceful talented poised god only made one of her she'll always hold a special place in many people's hearts the greatest gymnist of all time ❤️❤️❤️👋👋👋👋👍👍👍
O mamy blues nusica
It always begins with a far Left regime. Then the Generals show up. And your life is not your own -- you have no choices -- you do what you're told. And you become a "pet" of the regime. They provide you with food, clothes and basic housing... and parade you around like a trophy on occasion. Before you know it, you're running for your life because the government is collapsing and if the revolutionaries catch you, they will kill you. Your life was easy before -- when the government was your "Daddy" but now you have to learn to provide for yourself. But because you've never been taught to do so, you meet unscrupulous people who take advantage of you -- that's the way it's always been. And your life is so hard until you learn there's a different way of life. You make friends who genuinely care about you. And now you can finally become the person you were meant to be.
The Young and the Restless airs five days a week at 4 PM on Global before Global News at 5 is on.
Part of the holy trinity of the Montreal Olympics. Bruce Jenner Sugar Ray Nadia
She is the best
I'm here because I wanted to remember the amazing girl I used to watch doing gymnastics when I was a kid I watching her in sports program on Kuwait TV I just remembered that her name was *Nadia* and she was the girl of my dreams🤍🌹
The Finest 🌟✨
I look at this footage and remember watching this as a girl of 12 , now looking back I’m almost sad the film looks so old when it feels almost like yesterday , I was watching in awe ❤️😟
God was with her on this day.
I remembered practically the whole world rooted for her and she responded in kind with the perfect ever returns. She was then just the darling of the whole olympic. There will never be another like her ever! Stay well Nadia. Thanks for the memories!
I remember watching her. I was in 4th grade. I practiced the parrel El bars on the chin up bar at the playground. Never could do the dismount, but I learned the spins on the bar. I could do it up into my 40's till I gained weight and git chicken to do it. Lol
At least in my time, I believe the 1976 Games were the finest.
the theme to the long-running CBS daytime soap opera
As an athlete and an artist of my sports. I feel that Nadia was just so mentally powerful That it Gave her everything she needed to create the success she achieved...kiki
👸 la reine 💫
Flawless. I was fortunate to see the original performance.
Brings a tear to my eye.
Mesmerizing... almost eerie how this enchanting piece of music can still haunt us all these decades later.
